Apple Pay® is now available at EECU!

Posted on by

Great news! Now, members can add any EECU MasterCard® credit or debit card to Apple Pay to pay in stores and in apps with a single touch. We are excited to offer this service to our members who we know are eager to use this service on their phones.

Apple Pay offers many great benefits:

  • An Easier Way to Pay—Members are able to make purchases at hundreds of thousands of stores and in participating apps.
  • Pay with a Single Touch—Once members load an EECU credit or debit card to Apple Pay, they can pay for purchases by holding their phone near point-of-sale terminal readers with their fingers on TouchID™. There’s no need to open an app or even wake the phone.
  • A Secure Way to Pay—Apple Pay uses the latest security technology. Every transaction is authorized with TouchID™ or passcode.

      • Any update on android pay support? Time frame?
Also any update on a time frame for Samsung pay support?

          • That is great to hear Michelle!!! I’m excited. Just got a Samsung phone and have been enjoying samsung pay. Looking forward to the next update on our being available.

Thank you for responding each time and your updates.

    • Hi Aaron! We have received many questions about support for Samsung Pay. Like Apple Pay and other digital payment programs, our processing partners must offer compatibility before we are able to offer it. We do not have a date when this will be available at this point, but it will likely be coming to EECU.

  1. Will you provide an Apple Watch app? I would love to be able to view my account balance instantly and make money transfers.

    • Hi Wayne! We do not currently have plans to launch an EECU app for Apple Watch in the immediate future; although, we may add this feature later on. We will certainly keep this in mind as we consider new technologies.
