EECU – Committed to Cook Children’s Medical Center

Posted on by

In keeping with EECU’s commitment to the communities it serves, our support of Cook Children’s Medical Center has been a focus at the credit union for many years.

We participate in many local efforts year-round to help raise awareness and much-needed funds for Cook Children’s to improve the health of every child in the DFW region.

This fall, EECU is actively involved in two projects to benefit Cook’s patients—a stuffed animal donation to support the Credit Unions Ride event and the October 7 “Radiothon” on Country 96.3.

Stuffed Animals for Cook’s Kids

To a sick child, sometimes it’s the little things—like having your own stuffed animal to hug—that makes a big difference. So EECU is showing Cook Children’s kids how much we care by collecting as many stuffed animals as possible!

On Tuesday, September 15, EECU will deliver stuffed animals to Cook Children’s patients as part of the Credit Unions Ride event. EECU staff is helping bring smiles to Cook patients by donating new, child-proof stuffed animals.

October 7 Country 96.3 “Radiothon” Fundraiser

EECU is also a proud sponsor of the October 7th Country 96.3 “Radiothon” to raise much-needed funds for Cook Children’s and the patients and families it serves.

EECU executive staff will be working the phones at Cook Children’s Medical Center to collect phoned-in donations at 855-COOK-GIVE on October 7. Donations can also be made online at cookchildrens.org. No donation amount is too big or small!

Be sure to tune in to 96.3 FM during the “Radiothon” to hear inspiring patient stories and learn how support from EECU and donations from you make a difference in the lives of kids and their families served by Cook Children’s.
