Luis Orozco, Financial Center Lead, and Myrna Robles with Catholic Charities, talk to a Future Fund mom. At the event, EECU taught these new members how to make deposits and navigate the EECU website with a focus on our Financial Literacy videos. Our on-line library of videos is available in both English and Spanish.
EECU hosted Fort Worth Future Fund families at our 7th Street Financial Center. The “Banking Day” event was an opportunity for these families to learn more about the children’s savings account program designated for post-secondary education.

In partnership with Catholic Charities Diocese of Fort Worth and Fort Worth ISD, EECU provides a no-fee, savings account through which the Future Fund program operates making higher education more attainable for low- and moderate-income families in our community. The program is available to 2nd and 3rd graders at four different Fort Worth ISD elementary schools.

The Fort Worth Future Fund incorporates an array of incentives based on savings behavior, engagement in educational activities, and participation in family-centered events to increase the amount families can save for post-secondary expenses.

Catholic Charities mission is to eradicate poverty one person/one family at a time. The EECU Future Fund initiative is part of that larger mission. If you would like to learn more about the Fort Worth Future Fund, please contact Catholic Charities at FutureFund@ccdofw.org.
